STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe in One God, the God of the Bible. We believe God is Spirit, that He is Eternal and that God is the
Creator of all.
We believe in the God Head being comprised of both the Father and Jesus Christ, His Son. We believe the Holy
Spirit is the divine power of God (Acts 1:8), through which He reveals and works His will.
We believe Jesus Christ of Nazareth was born of the virgin Mary. He is the Messiah of Israel, the Passover
Lamb, and the Savior of the world. Jesus is the Word with God described in John 1:1. He is the Word Who was made flesh
and dwelled among us. He is the only begotten Son of God who lived a sinless life, died for mankind, was raised
to eternal life from the dead by the Father after being dead for three days and three nights.
We believe all scripture is given by the breath of God. God reveals His purposes, His many names and
roles in Scripture. The Bible is the authoritative revelation of God’s will for man. It is the written Word of
God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness.
We believe in the Bible account of creation. We believe all things were created by God through Jesus
Christ and for Him. God creates all things with divine purpose.
We believe in the literal return of Jesus Christ
(Zechariah 14:4; Acts 1:9-14) when He shall take the Throne of David (Isaiah 9:6-7; Luke 1:32-33) and rule on earth
for the prophetic thousand years known as the millennium.
We believe in a literal resurrection from death (I Corinthians 15; Daniel 12; Ezekiel 37; Revelation 20).
We believe the Church is a spiritual organism, the Body of Christ, which is comprised of those who are begotten
by God’s Holy Spirit, not limited or bounded by the confines of any manmade corporate structure. Members of the
Body have been placed there as it pleases God the Father and are subject to the Head, Jesus Christ, in all things.
We believe Church members are brethren. The members of Christ’s Body will be doers of the Word and not hearers
only, keeping the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. True believers will have a commitment to study and
live by the Word of God daily. They will be instructed, exhorted, admonished, corrected and cleansed by the Word of God
as they study and prove all things, holding fast that which is good. They will learn, observe, and appropriately teach
all things Christ commanded and continue to "grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
We believe the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week, is God’s created holy day that He gave to mankind and
covenanted with His people as an identifying sign forever. Exodus 31:16, Genesis 2:2-3, Isaiah 58:13-14, Matthew 12:8.
We believe the Holy Days of the Bible (Leviticus 23) are a prophetic statement of God’s plan of salvation for
all mankind.
We believe salvation is by grace through faith, and not of works. It is the gift of God through Jesus
Christ. We believe the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is for the sins of all the world. We believe God has an
order for His working with and calling all people. We believe God is a Family Who is creating sons in His image to live
with Him throughout eternity.
We believe disciples of Jesus Christ will preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Gospel of the Kingdom of God,
in all the world as Christ commanded, and will baptize new disciples, teaching them to observe all of God’s Word.
The purposes of this summary of beliefs are to provide a brief introductory overview and to confess
the Lord Jesus Christ and His truth. Doctrine is to be decided by the weight of Biblical evidence by those committed
to living by every word of God and who utilize the principle of two or three (scriptural) witnesses guided by the Holy
Spirit to establish a teaching. This summary does not comprehend the entire scope of the beliefs or practices of
the congregation. We make this statement of faith hoping to achieve unity among brethren and provide a basis for
fellowship in doctrine where we all speak the same thing.
