Day 14, Day 7 of Week 2 – Sabbath, April 18, 2026

Dear Family,

Today is Sabbath, April 18, 2026. Today is Day 14 and Day 6 of Week 2 in our Count to Pentecost.

In the Book of Revelation, Jesus, our Savior and Creator, refers to Himself several times as the  Alpha and Omega. A similar reference is found in Isaiah.

Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the LORD, which is, and  which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 21:6(A) He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the  End.

Revelation 22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and His redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside Me there is no God.

Using the phrase (Greek words) “Alpha and Omega” suggests a beginning, a sequence, and an end. As  we know, God is Eternal and has no beginning. So, Jesus was suggesting a sequence of events and a  bringing of those events.

Jesus tells us in Revelation that He will make all things new. That suggests another beginning of  something.

Revelation 21:5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”

Psalm 102:25-26 (25) Of old hast Thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the  work of Thy hands. (26) They shall perish, but Thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:

It is interesting to note that many Hebrew scholars object to the wording in Genesis 1:1 of “In the  beginning…” Rather, they translate the phrase as, “In a beginning.” Wow, what might Jesus have in  mind! Perhaps, infinite new beginnings.
