The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but He casteth away the substance of the wicked.

For by me (Wisdom) thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.

For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

Let not thine heart decline to her (false way) ways, go not astray in her paths.

A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.

Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.

Exalt her (Wisdom), and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

He (the Lord) layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
