The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.

Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:

Hear; for I (Wisdom) will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.

Bind them (Commandments) upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.

When thou goest, it (Commandments) shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.

Hear me (Wisdom) now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.

But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and He shall direct thy paths.

He (God) keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of His saints.

A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
