Dear Family,
Today is Tuesday, April 21, 2026. Today is Day 17 and Day 3 of Week 3 in our Count to Pentecost.
When God the Father brought Jesus from the grave where He had been dead for 3 nights and 3 days, the Bible records that Jesus was declared or proclaimed to be the Son of God with power. Romans 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
Obviously, something very significant had taken place with the sinless life of the Lamb of God and with the literal sacrifice of the Lamb of God that had been slain by God‛s intent from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8).
And, obviously, the resurrection of Jesus to eternal life was monumental! After all, NEVER had a human being been resurrected back to life IN THIS MANNER!
Just prior to His death, Jesus had prayed that the Father would glorify Him with the same glory He had enjoyed before His human existence.
John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
BUT, there was more! Just what did the Father give unto His resurrected Son? Jesus Himself said that He had been given ALL POWER IN HEAVEN AND IN EARTH! Matthew 28:17-19 (17) And when they saw Him, they worshipped Him: but some doubted. Can you believe that while some came to worship, others still doubted!!
(18) And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying; All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. (19) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
We rarely focus on this aspect of the Days of Unleavened Bread; the resurrection and what it actually means for the Plan of God; especially for God‛s Plan as it affects those of us in His Church today! YET, this is a very important detail in God‛s Plan!
With the completed work of the human Jesus Christ, and now with the resurrection of the eternal Jesus Christ, God had set up everything that was necessary for the next step in His very well ordered, and exactly sequenced master plan for mankind; the receiving of the Holy Spirit!
