Dear Family,
Today is Friday, April 17, 2020; this is Day 6, Week 1, as we Count toward Pentecost.
As we count, let us make each day count by using our time wisely. There are many ways to do this. Can you use a little assistance to help you get started? Let me suggest the following points to help you. You may want to use the list as an inventory.
Remember, we are the purchased treasure God Himself has bought, making us part of a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation for His purposes!
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Notice the purpose for God’s calling us out of darkness.
Remember that God wants profit, so grow in grace and knowledge.
2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.
Begin each day by thanking our God for what He has done for us. Thank Him throughout the day.
Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Bless Him who blesses you. Be sure to bless our Creator each and every day with all that is within.
Psalm 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Search out the places in our lives where we need God to continue to cleanse us and bring us into closer fellowship with Him. Repent and confess where it is needed.
Ezekiel 18:30-32 (30) Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. (31) Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? (32) For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
Ask God to give us a teachable heart.
Psalm 25:4-5 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Study the Word of God and ask God to make His Words dwell in us. His Words are Spirit, and they are Life.
John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Realize our need for the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth. Ask God for this gift daily.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Know with certainty that God loves you and is eager to help you and bless you daily. Ask for His blessing, knowing He hears you.
Psalm 5:3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
Understand that you are Holy. Determine to consecrate your whole being to the God Who loves you so much! Give your life to God.
Romans 12:1-2 (1) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (2) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
Be ready to give an account for the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
May God grant you His riches blessings!
